OUR 4 FAVORITE PLACES TO KAYAK
Stretching from Panama City to Pensacola, the Emerald Coast boasts amazing natural springs and over 100 miles of sugar sand coastline. Check out some of our favorite spots we love to explore.
Sanders Beach to Bayou Chico and Back
From Sanders Beach, follow the beach line to the right and head north into Bayou Chico. Easily spend an afternoon checking out the marinas and before you head back to Sanders Beach, stop at The Oar House for lunch. You can tie up right at the stairs and walk into the restaurant.
This is a trek but worth the mile and a half paddle. Enter at Navy Point boat ramp, paddle south under Navy Blvd, hug the shore a bit then North East to White Island. Or, for an easier paddle, drop in at Civitan Park, paddle out of Davenport Bayou and as you're heading SW you'll see White Island come into view. Bring some gear to enjoy a day at your private beach.
You can spend a couple of hours on Bayou Texar or all day. From Bayview Park you can paddle North or South, go North and see some beautiful homes all the way to Carpenter's Creek. Paddle South, go by Bayview Dog Park and follow under Cervantes St. all the way to the bay. You can stop off to check out local favorite, Graffiti Bridge.
Only accessible by water, Deadman's Island is a fun place to explore by Kayak. Enter at Woodland Park in Gulf Breeze and casually paddle through the neighborhood until you reach Pensacola Bay. Turn left and follow the beach-line until you run into the beach. Spend the day on the beach with a picnic, a pooch or snorkel gear.
